Another resource I’m looking into is the Transition Town movement, a proactive and elegant response to the reality that the resources we’ve taken for granted are inevitably going to run out.

An article about Transition Towns entitled, The End Is Near! (Yay!) recently published in the NYT has an extensive group of local community members buzzing. I’ll be getting my hands on the handbook this afternoon.
